It’s Newegg’s FantasTech Sale right now, and there are some cracking offers on prebuilt gaming PCs that are well worth a look. This ABS Stratos Ruby gaming PC is currently $300 off and down to its lowest price in 30 days during the sale. It’s coming in at a very competitive $2,199.99, and even comes with a free game to boot. What you’re getting here is an RX 9070 XT build paired with one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, loads of RAM, and a decent cooling setup, all housed in a simple but stylish PC case.
The RX 9070 XT is one of the best graphics cards you can get for QHD and 4K gaming, especially for the price, which is usually lower than an RTX 5070 Ti. It packs 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM and is built on RDNA 4 architecture, so you’re getting improved ray tracing and AI capabilities, alongside features like FSR4.
The CPU here is the impressive Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is designed very much for gaming at high FPS with low latency. It does this by packing a massive 96MB L3 cache, which is around triple the size of your standard mid-range gaming CPU, for reference. This allows it to be very capable of delivering smooth gameplay at high frame rates, even in resolutions like FHD, where games can become much more CPU-intensive.

Elsewhere in the build, you’ve got 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD, both of which are pretty standard for PCs around this price range. That being said, 32GB of DDR5 powers this build nicely for modern gaming requirements and ensures the overall computing experience feels responsive and speedy, too. For cooling, it’s a slightly smaller 240m AIO, which is fine for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but of course, something larger would give you a bit more headroom. There’s also a punchy 850W PSU, which is 80W Gold-rated, and there’s even WIFI 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, which is surprisingly rare to see in my experience.
What we like about this ABS Stratos Ruby RX 9070 XT gaming PX
Excellent value for a QHD and 4K gaming build
For the price, it’s very competitive for this type of build, especially as most RTX 5070 Ti alternatives, which have similar raw performance to the RX 9070 XT, tend to come in around the $2,499 mark, in my experience.
Future-facing CPU opens up a clear upgrade runway
Being on the AM5 platform sets you up well if you’re planning on tweaking and upgrading your components in the future, and the MSI Pro B850-P motherboard also makes for a good foundation to build on, too.
It’s a gaming-first build
This isn’t trying to be a hybrid gaming, content creation, workstation PC, which would usually have a higher core count XCPU and potentially even more RAM. Rather, it goes all in on gaming performance, opting for a lower-core-count CPU with a massive cache instead, and high-speed Kingston Fury DDR5 RAM, too.
