For gamers shopping for a prebuilt PC focused on cost, the AMD or Intel conversation isn’t critical if a great deal can be found. That’s especially true when you spot a deal like this one, on the Asus ROG G700. This RTX 5070 and Intel Core Ultra 7 265F system is a solid mid-range gaming spec, and it’s $200 below its $2,000 list price at $1,800. That’s the lowest price to date, making it a good time to consider it. The 10% discount is one of Amazon’s limited-time deals, too, so we’re unsure how long it will stay.

Why we like the Asus ROG G700 gaming PC

RTX 5070 power

The RTX 5070 is a well-balanced graphics card, perfect for mid-range systems and fast 1440p frame rates. Its 12GB of VRAM makes it a solid future-facing graphics card in 2026, and it will have enough performance to support some streaming and content creation, too. Plus, it supports Nvidia’s AI-powered features, including DLSS and MFG.

Balanced CPU

Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265K is our best Intel CPU for gaming. This system’s ‘265F’ variant offers less raw performance, lacks integrated graphics (the 5070 has it covered), and cannot be overclocked. However, it is packed with multi-core power and is highly efficient, making it a potent productivity CPU at 65W base power draw. So for a daily-use PC, it’s a good pick.

Decent RAM and storage

The Asus ROG G700’s 16GB DDR5-5600 RAM should be fast enough for most modern titles, up to and including 1440p resolutions. And the 1TB NVMe drive is fairly standard for a gaming PC of this price, so no issues there. Both would allow for future upgrades if needed.

What to consider before you buy

Any gaming PC below $2,000 will have some concessions no matter how good the deal is. The core specs of the Asus ROG G700 are solid, and the RTX 5070 and Intel Core Ultra 7 265F will be more than a match for modern releases at 1440p. The two main considerations would be RAM and storage. If you’re keen on high productivity and gaming headroom, 32GB of DDR5 would be better. Similarly, more SSD space is better if you’re planning for media files or massive game storage. Those aren’t negatives for the deal price, though. We think this is a fine price for this PC. But both are things to bear in mind for your system needs.
