Table of Contents
This Sony 83″ Bravia 6 OLED TV has crashed to a new record-low price on Amazon and is now coming in at $2,398.00 in a limited-time deal. Now this TV is a real winner if you’re looking for something for big-screen viewing with outstanding OLED picture quality, advanced image optimisation features, and strong gaming capabilities for both console and PC. It’s expensive for sure, but this TV is primed to be the centrepiece of an epic home entertainment setup, and it’s still not quite as pricey as some of the very top-tier OLEDs on the market, making it a smart premium pick that leaves you room for surround sound speakers and soundbars, for instance.
What we like about this Sony 83″ Bravia 6 OLED TV
Incredible contrast with pure blacks
This TV features 8 million self-lit pixels, so you’re getting unbelievably precise picture quality. Since they’re self-lit, it also means that this TV doesn’t have a traditional backlight. This makes blacks look incredibly deep. The better the contrast, the more cinematic, atmospheric, and immersive content looks, so this is a big win if you’re watching movies and shows in HDR.
Triluminios Pro for incredible color
This technology essentially allows this TV to reproduce an extremely wide range of colors, including subtle and nuanced hues, with true-to-life accuracy. That means that subtle shades and hues, like those found in skin tones, for example, don’t look overly saturated or unrealistic.

This TV supports Dolby Vision, which means it can accept the top-tier HDR metadata and adjust its settings dynamically throughout a movie for the best HDR presentation possible. On top of that, it supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio, so you can create a truly immersive 3D audio experience with soundbars and surround sound speakers.
Advanced features for high fps, super smooth gameplay
This TV has a 120Hz refresh rate, which allows you to game at up to 120fps in 4K. It also features VRR, which helps reduce screen tearing and stutter, and ALLM, which decreases latency for a more responsive experience. ]
Ambient light sensor for comfortable viewing
This TV can adjust its picture settings based on how bright a room is, which is excellent if you want to reduce uncomfortable glare in lower light settings, or be able to see everything clearly when watching something during the day.
Is this deal right for you?
It may seem expensive, but I think that the Sony Bravia 6 OLED lineup makes a lot of sense from a price-to-performance perspective, especially if you’re after something for a big-screen, cinematic experience. At this size, it pays to invest in features like a powerful processor, top-end contrast and color, extensive HDR compatibility, and PS5/gaming PC-ready capabilities. As mentioned, you could pay around $2000 more in some cases for a similar-sized, ultra-premium option, but in all honesty, I think they’re a little overkill unless you’re a die-hard film enthusiast. At its lowest price ever, I think that this Sony TV is well worth considering if you’re looking for something special for your home setup.
