Spacious 32-inch curved Samsung monitor is $130 less as it nears record-low on Amazon
Table of Contents
Although it’s clearly a premium brand, you can find Samsung monitors for less than you may expect. One example is the 32-inch Odyssey (G55C), a spacious, curved monitor that is now near its record low on Amazon. The 165Hz QHD monitor may not be for you if you demand the highest refresh rates, but at $200, it’s $130 below its stated list price of $330.
SAMSUNG 32″ Odyssey G55C 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor
What we like about the 32-inch Odyssey G55C
A larger, spacious QHD monitor
While 27-inch monitors are now somewhat standard for gaming, a 32-inch size is still great for a 1440p resolution. It gives you a larger, expansive view, and it may also be preferable if you want a more cinematic or laid-back gaming experience. Games will still look great, even though it may not be ideal for highly competitive or Esports titles.
Speedy, with an immersive 1000R curved
The larger 32-inch screen size allows the G55C to add a bit of curvature for added immersion. This aids cinematic gaming experiences because the 1000R curvature adds more peripheral visual stimulation. And with a 165Hz refresh rate, this monitor is well-equipped for smooth gameplay up to a pleasing 165 frames per second.

High-quality visuals with eye care features
Owners love the visual quality and clarity the G55C offers for PC and console gaming. Its HDR 10 rating supports 10-bit color (or a billion colors) for vivid scenes, and its contrast is well-liked too. Switching from enjoyable eye stimulation to eye care, the G55C also features an ‘Eye Saver Mode’ to minimize blue light and help keep your eyes comfortable.
What to consider before you buy
For all its immersive, cinematic qualities, it’s worth knowing that 165Hz isn’t a particularly high rating for a gaming monitor. Indeed, an 180Hz refresh rate is where many more affordable 27-inch QHD gaming monitors sit. That doesn’t mean the 32-inch G55C isn’t a good monitor. But it does mean that it’s best suited for mixed or more cinematic rather than competitive gaming, where frames really do matter. Still, for $200, there’s a lot to enjoy.
