A new Amazon monitor deal has dramatically dropped the cost of the LG 27GX704A-B. The previously $450 OLED gaming monitor has plenty to like for 2K gamers, and its new price is undoubtedly one of them. The new limited-time deal makes the monitor available at $380, with a $70 saving on a model that offers a 240Hz refresh rate and much more. Here’s why this is a deal to pay attention to if you need a new 1440p display.

Why we like the LG 27GX704A-B 27-inch Ultragear

Vibrant 2K OLED

As an OLED 1440p monitor, the LG 27GX704A-B will deliver highly enjoyable and vibrant colors. That’s alongside excellent contrast, deep blacks, and clear and bright lighter tones. The monitor has VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color palette, and a maximum 1300 nits of peak brightness, so you should get fine visuals in your games and general use.

Speedy 240Hz gaming

If you’re investing in a 2K monitor for high performance, a rapid 240Hz refresh rate provides a good amount of headroom for now and the future. Natively supporting up to 240 frames per second gaming, and with a near-instant response (a 0.03ms response time), the 27GX704A-B could be perfect for mid-range gamers.

Excellent connectivity

There are all the ports most would need here, with 2x HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, USB 3.2 upstream, and two 3.2 downstream. That makes this a good pick if you’re a PC and console gamer and want to have two devices connected at once. Plus, it’s certified for Anti-Glare, Flicker-Free, and Low Blue Light, and supports Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

What to consider before you buy

You will need a pretty powerful system to deliver 200+ frames per second at 1440p resolutions. But if you’re investing in a monitor for the years to come – and you may upgrade your setup – then this model has plenty to like at the deal price. Visually appealing, with ergonomic adjustability, good connectivity, and a speedy OLED panel, this is an offer we like the look of.
