What we like about this ASUS ROG Strix OLED gaming monitor
Stunning QD-OLED display is great for gaming, and much more, too
With this type of screen, you’re getting super deep, inky blacks, bright highlights, and incredibly lifelike color, all of which showcase games at their very best. But since this monitor has 99% DCI-P3 color and delta E<2 accuracy, it’s also a very strong pick for creative work. For video editors and content creators, this screen is ideal.
Its resolution is ideal for its size
QHD resolution looks super crisp and clear at 27 inches, as it doesn’t dilute the monitor’s pixel density, which can reduce clarity. It’s a big win from a price-to-performance perspective, too, as you don’t need to shell out on a 4K monitor or 4K-ready PC to get stunning picture quality.
Top-end refresh rate designed for fast-paced and competitive gaming
360Hz at 1440p is pretty much the highest you can get, allowing for up to 360fps. With a 0.03ms response time, this is a game-changer for competitive play, as it keeps everything super smooth and easy to track, with minimal motion blur and ghosting.
OLED Care+ suite offers premium protection against burn-in
You’ve got everything from a custom heatsink to a whole host of advanced technology, such as pixel cleaning, taskbar detection, and more, to help give you peace of mind and ensure this monitor is top-top for years to come. It even comes with a 3-year warranty.
ASUS ROG premium design features
These monitors have a unique cyberpunk aesthetic, which makes them a serious statement piece in any gaming setup, but they’re also loaded with premium features designed with practicality in mind. A big win, for example, is its extensive connectivity options, especially its USB-C port with 90W power delivery.
Is it a good time to buy this monitor?
As you can see from the pricing history, it is down to its lowest price since early 2025, with fairly frequent price fluctuations. I’d say it is certainly a good time to go for it, as I think it’s likely to jump back up to at least $720 when the deal expires or potentially higher.
While the saving itself isn’t massive, the thing to remember here is that this is a premium ASUS ROG Strix monitor, and arguably one of the best gaming monitors on the market, so huge price drops won’t be as common. Just like with an Alienware monitor, big price cuts like this are worth jumping on while they’re still live, in my opinion.
