What we like about this gaming PCs

Both PCs are quite similar in fact, with the i8200 coming in a slightly more streamlined build, with 64GB of DDR5 RAM instead of 32GB, and obviously having a bigger price tag as result. So here’s a breakdown of the components these two gaming PC share.

  • RTX 5080 GPU: The RTX 5080 graphics card is one of the best GPUs around, and boasts some seriously impressive performance. As per our review, it does very well when it comes to 4K gaming, with DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation boosting the frames per second by even more.
  • Intel Core i9-14900KF: This 14th Gen Intel CPU is one of the highest performing processors on the market, and an excellent pairing with the 5080. It has 24 cores (8 performance/ 16 efficient), 32 threads, and a massive max turbo frequency of 6 Ghz. Notably, it shines when it comes to gaming performance, and its multi-threaded performance is also impressive – meaning it’ll make short work of running multiple applications at once and multi-tasking. If you’re a video-editor or designer, you should find this very beneficial.
  • DDR5 RAM: Corsair makes some of the best RAM around, and here you’ve got its Dominator Titanium RGB DDR5 memory thrown in, to help keep your system running smoothly.
  • Large SSD: This build features a substantial 2TB SSD, which is more than enough for even a large gaming library. For reference, a triple A title can range between around 50 to 150GB or more, with smaller games coming in at under 50GB. That means it’s unlikely you’re going to run out of room anytime soon, even if you have a load of games saved to it.
  • Corsair cooling: Again, you’re getting Corsair cooling in this which combines a dual chamber case, RGB liquid CPU cooler, and nine RGB fans. All of this should add up to quiet, but effective cooling to keep this rig running optimally.
  • Great connectivity: This features WIFI 6E so you can gain access to faster internet speeds, alongside Bluetooth 5.3, known for its improvements with security, stability, and overall efficiency.
  • Stunning design: Once again Corsair has knocked this out of the park when it comes to the design of both of these rigs. You can clearly see all the components in the PCs and the glass allows for some of the RGB to shine out on to your setup – both statement pieces for sure.

Which one is right for you?

It really comes down to taste and budget here, with the i5100 coming in at $3799.99 and the i8200 at $4,399.99. The increase of RAM on the latter isn’t absolutely necessary for most people, and may not be super noticeable unless you’re a die-hard enthusiast, so personally I think the i5100 is your best bet. In my opinion, it even looks better.

There are some other options if you still these are out of your budget, and you can even find similar Corsair builds with RTX 4080 Supers for a a few hundred dollars less that will still perform well, but save you some cash too.

Overall though, I think if you’re going for some seriously powerful, future-proof, and capable of handling even the most demanding tasks with ease, both of these gaming PC are well worth considering at this new price.
