What you need to know about this gaming PC
GPU and CPU: As mentioned, you’ve got an RTX 4090 in here, which we all know is one of the very best graphics cards out there. We’ve reviewed it too, and it scored 4.5 stars, notably delivering impressive performance at 4K – such as 133fps with DLSS 3 on with Cyberpunk 2077. The CPU is the still impressive Intel Core i9-13900K, which is also one of the top CPUs out there even with the later Intel Core Ultra series (which was met with mixed reviews). You can check out our full review of the Intel Core i9-13900K for benchmarks, but in short, it’s one of the best CPUs for the card for sure.
Storage and memory: This gaming PC has 64GB of DDR5 RAM and an enormous 8TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. 64GB of RAM is more than enough to hand even the beefiest of system requirements for AAA-titles, and the 8TB SSD is just a bit overkill in all honesty. Typically that’s where we start seeing the price creep up with these builds, so if you can find one with a smaller SSD it may save you a few hundred dollars.
Connectivity: This PC has Wifi 6e connectivity, which is great for most people considering WiFi 7 is not available to everyone just yet. Wifi 6e routers are also plentiful and coming down a bit in price too, giving you some options for you overall setup too.
Design: This is where Alienware shines bright with all of its products. This desktop was actually the first PC to include the new revamped Alienware Command Center software, which allows you to edit the AlienFX lighting across your Alienware peripherals, and speaking of peripherals…
Includes keyboard and mouse: Gives you everything you need to just plug in and start gaming. They’re pretty basic, but it’s a great if you just want to dive in. I’d personally recommend throwing some cash at some of the Alienware keyboards and mice, as they’re pretty epic.
Verdict
Pricing-wise, this gaming PC is very much in line with what we usually see from Alienware. These are super high-end, and you’re getting serious craftsmanship and design here, plus punchy components that will handle pretty much anything you can throw at them. For around $550 off, I think it’s a great deal.
