This Thermaltake LCGS Quartz i460 gaming PC is now down to its lowest price of the year on Amazon with a $100 discount, bringing it to a very competitive price of $999.99. As with many Thermaltake PC builds, they deliver the goods when it comes to design and build quality, which makes them a very popular choice for those who want great value, but also a prebuild that looks super premium, too. Inside this build, you’ve got an RTX 5060 paired with an Intel Core i5-14400F and 16GB of DDR4. This is the type of configuration that’s going to be excellent if you’re playing games in FHD at very high framerates, streaming, and occasionally doing some lighter video editing and content creation. For under $1,000, we think it’s a bit of a steal.

Thermaltake LCGS Quartz i1460 (Intel Core i5-14400F, RTX 5060)

Intel Core™ i5-14400F, ToughRam DDR4 3600Mhz 16GB RGB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 5060, 1TB NVMe M.2, WiFi, Windows 11) S2QT-B760-560-LCS

Key features of this Thermaltake LCGS Quartz i460 gaming PC

Intel Core i5-14400F processor

This build features an Intel Core i5-14400F processor, which is an excellent, budget-friendly option for 1080p and 1440p gaming, that’s able to handle CPU-bound games like CS: Go and Valorant very well, given its price point. It has a boost clock speed of 4.7Ghz, 20MB L3 cache, and 10 cores 6P +4E) and 16 threads, the latter of which makes it a solid option for streaming, recording video, running Discord in the background, and more.

RTX 5060 graphics card

If you’re after excellent FHD gaming performance and exclusive features like MFG, but without breaking the bank, then the RTX 5060 is one of the best graphics cards you can go for. Typically, you’ll find RTX 5060 prebuilds for around $1,000 in most cases, depending on a few factors like RAM, CPU, and other variables. With this card, you’ve got some of the latest generation technology, including GDDR7 VRAM (8GB), 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores, all of which give this a significant performance boost in both gaming and non-gaming tasks over the 4060. For gaming, its 8GB of GDDR7 lends itself well to high refresh rate FHD, competitive titles, and while it can be used for 1440p with the help of DLSS and MFG, the RTX 5060 Ti would be the preferable choice if that’s what you’re interested in.

16G of DDR4 and 1TB of storage

As with many builds under $1,000, they pull back a little on the RAM and storage, but if you’re primarily using this for high fps, FHD gaming, and playing a few games on rotation, this really shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re planning on doing a lot of multitasking, 32GB is going to be better, but it will likely tip costs closer to $1,100, which may be a little out of budget.

Things to consider

For me, RTX 5060 gaming PCs make sense when they’re between $1,00 and $1,200, as any higher in price, and I think you may as well opt for an RTX 5060 Ti model, and get a bit more raw performance for your money. I’d say Skytech would be a great place to look if you’re after similar build quality, design, and performance to this build, and also want to grab something at a great price. Its Azure 3 lineup, in particular, is very impressive for the price, and often found on sale at Amazon and Newegg. Check this Skytch RTX 5060 gaming PC out, which has 32GB of DDR4 and the same Intel processor. It’s under $1,200, and even looks very similar to this Thermaltake PC, too.
