How fast do you need for 1440p gaming? If 240Hz isn’t quick enough, then Alienware’s AW2725DF OLED Gaming Monitor should be on your radar. The wickedly fast (and popular) 360Hz screen has landed a much-improved price thanks to a limited-time deal. Now available at $500 on Amazon, the monitor is $150 (23%) below its list price. That’s one of its best discounts so far. And although speed is what this model obviously offers, that’s not all.

Why we love the Alienware AW2725DF OLED

Speed to burn

This monitor’s headline feature is its incredible speed. That 360Hz refresh rate can support up to 360 frames per second, which is perfect if you favor 1440p speed over 4K quality from a high-performance gaming system. It’s also somewhat future-facing, providing headroom where system upgrades may generate more speed. The 0.03ms response rate guarantees a super-responsive experience, too.

QD-OLED quality

The QD (Quantum Dot) OLED technology this monitor uses can produce inky blacks, even in dimly lit or darkened areas, and it is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. Color-wise, Alienware states the monitor provides DCI-P3 99.3% color coverage and Delta E<2 accuracy. Although extra calibration may be needed for fidelity, that puts it in a good position for image editing and content creation, too.

Adaptable and ergonomic

The flexibility of the AW2725DF is obvious: While the screen’s VESA AdaptiveSync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro can deliver smooth variable refresh rate support and reduce tearing and stutter, the physical monitor is adaptable too. The fully adjustable stand provides height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, so you can maintain optimal comfort whether you game, work, or simply enjoy content.

What to consider before you buy

As a 1440p monitor, you need to be sure you prefer speed over the potential jump up to 4K resolutions. If speed is key, the Alienware AW2725DF OLED has plenty, but it’s also a high-quality monitor for HDR content, daily productivity, and content creation. Additionally, we particularly like the style language adopted for this monitor. But if it’s not quite to your tastes, make sure you pick a monitor that you’re fully happy with.
