If you’re in need of a new graphics card, there’s certainly plenty to choose from. Certainly, when it comes to the mid-range, you have Nvidia, AMD, and Intel to pick from. But Nvidia is still the biggest seller in market share, and with that, its pricing tends to get a bit overblown. One of those is the RTX 5070, which was a bit steep in value, as we found in our review, so on sale, it might just be the perfect time to buy.

Right now, you can get the SFF-ready ASUS Prime RTX 5070 at a 14% discount in a limited-time deal on Amazon. That drops the price by over $86 from the $610 price tag down to $524. In fact, that drops it below the $549 MSRP of the GPU and makes it a better value, even competing with the RX 9070, as it falls to the lowest price it’s been at according to price tracking sites.

Why buy the RTX 5070

The RTX 5070 is for those looking for 1080p or 1440p performance from their PC. Offering up solid performance and access to the latest features, with 12GB of VRAM, it does well to make itself a longer-term solution, unlike the lower 8GB models. Even though AMD might be the overall better choice, the Nvidia option is hard to contend with when it offers os much and has a great deal on it considering something like the RX 9070 XT has plummeted in price now.

So if you are upgrading or building a new system, the RTX 5070 offers a good middle ground that is a step up from the more entry-level 60 series cards. Plus, you can get plenty of value from it thanks to this deal. As shown in the graph below, tracing by CamelCamelCamel, it stagnated at $550 previously but has now dipped below the MSRP of the card, even as a custom model.
