The Radeon RX 9060 XT release date is here! June 5th, 2025 is the big day, and we’ve already seen various AIBs listed for this new graphics card, for both the 8GB and 16GB VRAM variants. Will there be RX 9060 XT pre orders?
As with most GPU launches, it’s unlikely we’ll see many retailers offering RX 9060 XT pre orders in the classic sense – that is being able to buy your card to secure one ahead of the June 5th release date. There are some retailers that do advertise what they refer to as ‘pre-orders’ like Overclockers UK and Best Buy, however these are generally just sign-ups to emails or other app-based notifications to let you know as soon as they’re in stock.
However, with the RX 9060 XT, Sapphire China is actually offering to let you place a deposit down for one of these cards, which secures you a place at the front of the queue to buy one when the release time hits – a very unusual occurrence! Not everyone will want to (or be able to) buy from a Chinese retailer of course, but if you’re up for it, it’s certainly worth investigating.
Will RX 9060 XT stock be available?
There’s no definitive answer as to whether there will be sufficient stock of the RX 9060 XT to meet demand when the release date comes around. AMD has at least promised “wide availability” for the new card, though it did the same with the 9070 series, and that soon suffered stock issues.
Tech commenter and leaker MooresLawIsDead has said on his YouTube channel that he believes there will be sufficient stock. Stating several sources from retailers in the EU and one or two in the US, it seems like there are better numbers in stock than there have been of recent GPU releases, although the US market might still run out at some point, as the non-US stockpiles seem to be higher. Time will tell!
