If you’re wondering when the RTX 4060 release date is, you’re certainly not alone. As with much of the 40 series, a huge amount of buzz has been generated in the month leading up to their release, much of which has been the result of leaks, rumours, and predictions based on previous launch patterns.
Here, we’ll take a closer look at when the RTX 4060 may release, based on all the latest information we’ve come across so far.
RTX 4060 release date speculation
While some reports have speculated that the RTX 4060 will be released in April 2023, we think it’s highly unlikely this will be the case. This is because the 4060 ti is rumoured to be arriving in late May 2023, and while this could release alongside the 4060, we would assume that Nvidia may want to let the 4060 ti get most of the limelight.
Whether it will launch shortly after is debatable too, as it is rumoured that the RTX 4050 could be heading our way in June.
If we look back at the 40 series release dates, there was one month between the launch of the 4090 and the 4080. After that, we waited 2 months until we saw the 4070 ti. If we follow this pattern and assume a 1-2 month gap between releases, it points us towards March…which has long passed.
There have also been some reports that a Chinese firm submitted their RTX 4060 and 4050 models to the EEC, which does typically mean a launch is coming, but again, as for the release date itself – we’re still left with little to work from.
So where does that leave us? Honestly, it doesn’t give us too much to go on, but we think we should know more in May when the 4060 ti is rumoured to arrive. If it does release in late May, we’d expect to hear more about the card around 2 -3 weeks before then, so we think we’re getting closer by the day to discovering when the RTX 4060 will release.
