The last few months have been a difficult time to upgrade your gaming PC – if that at all involves buying new sticks of RAM. As you may well know by now, AI-fueled price hikes have shot up the cost of DDR5 (and to a lesser extent, DDR4) memory. We’ve even seen an upward trend of AM4 processor sales recently, as people aim to dodge the inflated costs. However, with the upcoming launch of the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, a fresh leak suggests retailers are keen to try and sell the new chip in a DDR5 bundle.

We haven’t yet spotted any bundles in the West during our time searching for where to buy the 9850X3D, but according to a post on the Chinese video-sharing platform bilibili, AMD is already preparing 9850X3D bundle(s) for anyone intending to upgrade to the latest AM5 socket, and in turn, DDR5 hardware. The leaked 3-in-1 bundle features DDR5 RAM and a CPU cooler.

Ryzen 7 9850X3D 3-in-1 bundle with DDR5 RAM and cooler

A bilibili post from a tech content creator by the name of “JustBuy” reveals AMD is preparing at least one 9850X3D bundle. This particular bundle features the new X3D processor, along with white 32GB DDR5 RAM and a white Hyper 612 Apex Pro air cooler. The RAM and cooler are provided by v-color and Cooler Master, respectively.

Given the ‘Coolor Master x AMD x v-color branding, it seems likely that this bundle is officially endorsed by Team Red itself. In any case, the 3-in-1 combo will certainly feel at home in any all-white gaming PC build, though there isn’t any immediate news of when, where, or even how much it will be available for. The Ryzen 7 9850X3D officially launches on January 29.

“JustBuy” has been mistaken for a retailer by some people interacting with the post, so much so that they’ve added a pinned post simply saying “I don’t ship orders from here, so please don’t bother asking” [translated].

In the United States, Micro Center remains a go-to option for new hardware builds. There is no news of a 9850X3D bundle at the popular US retailer yet, though we wouldn’t totally rule it out. A Micro Center 3-in-1 DDR5 bundle we featured on the site last week helped knock $400 off the full asking price – and the retailer continues to run similar offers. The components in the leaked bundle would add up to close to $1,100, so treat this as a ballpark figure of what you may pay for this in the US.
