It’s no secret that AMD has been killing it in some of the best CPU releases recently, helped by the fact that the competition hasn’t been up to par. So it’s probably no surprise that Amazon’s best sellers CPU list is flooded with AMD processors, with Intel falling out of the top 10.
Surprisingly, even though the 9000 series release is the latest generation from AMD, it’s not even featured in the top ten, apart from the 9800X3D right at the top. As one might expect, it mainly consists of a mix of the 5000 and 7000 series processors and plenty of X3D CPUs.
Intel’s feature on the board only comes in 11th place, with the older i7-13700K, as another batch comes in at 13th-15th. All of these are previous generations, and the Arrow Lake CPUs crop up in 44th and 45th place with the Core Ultra 9 and 7, even though they were released recently at the end of October.

9800X3D number one with over 10,000 sold
Right at the top of the best sellers is the 9800X3D, which came out not so long ago. Seeing as it received near-perfect reviews and 5/5 in ours, it’s no surprise everyone wants a piece of it. It was so popular when it was released that the 9800X3D sold out immediately as everyone rushed to grab it, leading us back to the time of needing stock trackers if you wanted to grab one.
But even with it coming in and out of availability, plenty was still going out as it came to the number one spot; according to Amazon, it’s been bought over 10,000 times in the past month. In comparison, the 7800X3D in second place has been bought 4,000 times in the month, and that would’ve been longer since the latest one came out on November 7th, so just one and a half weeks.
AMD has crushed it this time, as innovation and a true leap in generational performance have created something quite desirable. A promise for a long AM5 platform life should give you a long-lasting solution.
