PC enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for AMD’s next two X3D CPUs, the 9950X3D and 9900X3D, to arrive since they were first announced, and they will finally launch today. The first CPU in the series, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, was released a few months ago, and the demand for it was so high that it was sold out within minutes. While the demand for these next two chips might not be as high, we still expect them to be hotly contested.

Now that it’s finally launch day for the two new X3D processors, we can count down the hours until their release. If you want to increase your chances of securing a unit on day one, check out our Where to buy 9950X3D and Where to buy 9900X3D pages, where we’ve listed all major retailers offering these CPUs.

Have the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D launch times been confirmed?

AMD has not shared any details about the launch times for the CPUs. However, based on previous hardware launches, including the latest RTX 50-series and RX 9070-series GPUs, the 9950X3D and 9900X3D are expected to be available for purchase starting at 9 AM EST.

We’ve also listed the launch times for different regions, along with a countdown clock below, to make things easier for you. If you can’t see the clock below, it means the processors have already launched, and you can head over to your favorite retailer to grab one – if they’re still in stock.

How long will the 9950X3D and 9900X3D remain in stock after release?

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which was released on November 7, sold out within minutes of launch, and it’s still difficult to get today. Many PC enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the 9950X3D and 9900X3D to hit the market, but we’re not expecting the demand for them to be as high as the 9800X3D.

Still, this does not mean you should waste any time buying these processors if you’re planning to upgrade, as we expect the first batch to sell out in a day or two. Once that happens, scalpers will start selling them on third-party platforms like eBay for absurd prices, and it can take weeks or even months for the next official batch to arrive.
