Apple unveils OLED iPad mini release date, specs & price ahead of Pro and Tell event, pre orders coming soon
Table of Contents
Apple’s upcoming ‘Pro and Tell’ event will take place this Wednesday, October 28, but the tech giant is already unveiling new hardware ahead of time. Several pieces of hardware have been rumored, including a new OLED variant of the iPad mini, and that’s exactly what we’re getting. Pre-orders for the new OLED model will go live at 10:10 AM Pacific Time, which will be 10 minutes into this week’s keynote.
Aside from the upgrade to OLED, the new iPad mini features “an even thinner and lighter design” alongside an upgrade to the Apple A20 Pro chip – the same processor used in the new iPhone 18 Pro & Pro Max, as well as the foldable iPhone Duo. Speaking of the Duo, reports of cracked screens have dampened the mood following its launch, right before ‘Pro and Tell’ comes along.
iPad mini OLED release date, specs, and price
As mentioned above, pre-orders for the new iPad mini will be available from October 28. When it comes to the release date, Apple has announced availability starting November 6, which is when you should be able to find the device in stores (assuming stock will be readily available). We’ve already seen iPhone Duo demand prove to be higher than expected, forcing Apple to increase its production target.
