Assassin’s Creed Shadows has finally been released following a couple of delays and early backlash ahead of the game’s launch. It’s safe to say that it’s one of the best-looking games of the year so far and we were impressed to see it running relatively smoothly when we tested it on our Steam Deck. Even still, those on even lower-end hardware or those seeking much smoother gameplay might want to go the cloud gaming route.

Well, great news, as Nvidia has just announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available on GeForce Now as of today. On top of that, 10 additional games – old and new – have joined the platform.

AC Shadows is on GeForce Now alongside Wreckfest 2 and more

Nvidia advertises up to 4K 120 FPS gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Shadows with GeForce Now Ultimate membership. For reference, the current Ultimate package streams the game from an RTX 4080 machine and offers up to 8 hours of gaming per session with access to AI technologies such as DLSS 3 and Nvidia Reflex.

It’s worth keeping in mind that benchmarks for AC Shadows on the RTX 5090 tell us that the game will definitely need to utilize DLSS as much as possible to reach the advertised 4K 120 FPS performance target.

There are a total of 11 games joining GFN this Thursday (March 20th). Here is the total list according to Nvidia:

  • Assassin's Creed Shadows (New release on Steam and Ubisoft Connect, March 20)
  • Wreckfest 2 (New release on Steam, March 20)
  • Aliens: Dark Descent (Xbox, available on PC Game Pass)
  • Crime Boss: Rockay City (Epic Games Store)
  • Eternal Strands (Xbox, available on PC Game Pass)
  • Fable Anniversary (Steam)
  • Motor Town: Behind the Wheel (Steam)
  • Nine Sols (Xbox, available on PC Game Pass)
  • Quake Live (Steam)
  • Skydrift Infinity (Epic Games Store)
  • To the Rescue! (Epic Games Store)

So, a couple of new releases followed by some older titles. It’s interesting to see Quake Live – a game that will run on pretty much any hardware these days – making its way to GeForce Now, but we can’t complain.
