Mods are one of the best ways of enhancing your gaming experience or extending the lifespan of a game. Whether it be a quality-of-life modification, or something as large as a custom campaign, Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the best titles for modding right now. Ever since Larian released official mod support in patch 7, we’ve seen much more ambitious custom content.
However, what we’re here to talk about today is something that’s more of a quick fix, and we’re surprised that this isn’t a vanilla feature. Introducing the ‘Follow The Leader’ mod for BG3, which makes sticking with your squad much easier during multiplayer sessions.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Follow The Leader mod now available
You can download the Follow The Leader mod on mod.io. It doesn’t have a massive amount of downloads right now, just 129 at the time of writing, so it definitely deserves a little more attention. To put it simply, the mod allows you to follow other players automatically in multiplayer. This makes the game easier to follow along with, and could even be seen as an accessibility feature. This is achieved via a custom passive ability; the full description reads as below:

“By activating the new passive ability, a temporary spell is granted that will allow you to select another player. No longer do you need to constantly click to keep up with your buddies, simply select the person you currently trust with your life and you will move as they do. You will automatically follow this player until you or your leader enter combat or you are attacked / take damage. You can cancel this at any time by ending the concentration. Yes, this spell uses concentration; this method has been a reliable way of allowing the player to stop following on their own.”
