Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 7 with official mod support has finally been released on PC, with a sale to celebrate

Baldur's Gate 3, one of the biggest releases of this year, has finally rolled out the patch 7 update. This highly anticipated update will bring in significant changes as well as official mod support – needless to say, the patch notes are quite long. As we reported earlier this month, Patch 7 will introduce evil endings to the Origin characters. So Larian, the developer, has added 13 such unique cinematic endings, which will add varying conclusions to the in-game characters.
And on top of that, the game has gone on sale – great news all around. According to the game’s price history on SteamDB, it now matches its lowest-ever price at $47.99 – the same cost we saw back during the Summer Sale this year.

Baldur’s Gate 3 in-game modding support is now live
Furthermore, Baldur's Gate 3 now has in-game support for modding and a built-in mod manager. Players can download the editor from Steam. The game now supports scripted mods using Osiris, which is Larian’s in-house scripting language. Modders can input their own scripts, correct build errors, and also handle some of the debugging. Plus, these mods can be published directly from the toolkit.
In addition to this, players also get access to a new mod manager. Players can browse mods made with the toolkit and install them quickly without having to leave the game. Apart from this, this patch will also introduce new Legendary Actions in the Honour Mode. For instance, Ptaris has got a new Legendary Action called Ptarian Dogma.
As you can guess, this is a fairly significant update. Players will need to download 11.6GB worth of data, requiring 160GB of free space on their disk in total. Players who do not have the free space will have to uninstall the game and download the patched version.
At the moment, the Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 has been rolled out on PC and console and Mac players will have to wait till October to get it. “Although later than we originally expected, you should be diving into Patch 7 this October. We appreciate you for bearing with us, and will make sure to keep you updated with our progress,” Larian said in the post.
In case you missed it, Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently on sale. You can purchase the game at a 20% discount, which means you can buy it for PRICE instead of the regular price of PRICE.
