Over the long post-Thanksgiving weekend, many have enjoyed discounts on thousands of products during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. These sales events slashed the prices of several products, including PC components. However, if you missed picking up your favorite components during the two events, you’ll be pleased to know that Micro Center is still running an offer that saves a good amount of money on three high-performance components, all based on AMD’s latest AM5 platform.

It is, however, important to keep in mind that the following bundle is limited to in-store pickup only. After you place your order online, you will need to visit a nearby Micro Center branch to pick it up.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D

For the CPU, the bundle includes the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which is currently one of the best high-end processors for gaming out there. It boasts 16 cores, and 32 threads, and can handle almost anything you throw at it. While it operates at a base clock speed of 4.2 GHz, it offers a base clock speed of up to 5.2 GHz, which is impressive. Aside from that, it has an L3 cache of 128MB and a default TDP of 120W.

We reviewed the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and found it to be a great processor for gaming. This is one of the reasons why we gave it 4.5 out of 5 marks. In Geekbench 6 single and multi-core tests, it was able to deliver 2,884 and 21,423 points, respectively. On top of that, these were the results we got in CS2, Cyberpunk 2077, Days Gone, and Monster Hunter World when the CPU was paired up with the RTX 4070 Ti Super and 64GB Dominator Titanium RAM clocked at 6,400 MHz.

Next up, we have the MSI X670E MAG Tomahawk WiFi, another high-end component in the bundle. This AM5 motherboard offers an all-black theme and looks stunning. However, it does not come with anything fancy like RGB or specific color accents on different spots, but this won’t be a problem for those who don’t like turning their system into a disco ball.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the board offers four DDR5 RAM slots that can support a maximum capacity of 256GB and a maximum speed of 7800+(OC). Aside from that, there are four M.2 slots for SSDs and four SATA 6G ports for standard HDDs. On the back, you’ll find eight USB ports, including one 20 GB/s Type C port for fast data transfer, one DisplayPort and HDMI port, audio connectors, and a 2.5G LAN port to establish a wired internet connection.

RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series

These days, you mostly need 16GB of RAM for modern games. As for the Micro Center bundle, it includes 32GB DDR5 G.Skill Flare X5 Series 6000 MHz RAM, so you will be more than fine. This much DDR5 RAM will not only help you run games smoothly but will also ensure your system does not lag during multitasking or while using productivity software.

How much will you save?

If you buy the three components individually, you’ll need to spend around $920. However, thanks to Micro Center, you can get them for only $729.99, helping you save $190. As the CPU can get hot, especially during long gaming sessions, we recommend spending the money you save on one of the best CPU coolers for the Ryzen 9 7950X3D. This will not only help with preventing overheating but will also improve the life span of the processor by keeping the temp within the safe limits.
