Earlier last week, a cryptic image was posted on Fallout: London Patreon by the dev team, which sparked speculation around a possible release date for the highly-anticipated mod.
It was a picture of a character wearing ‘British’ garbs near a vault and holding up his hand with all five fingers gesturing ‘5’. While this image was viewable only to Patreon subscribers, it was posted to the Fallout4London subreddit.
Redditors’ responses ranged from excited to disappointed. Some people commented that the devs might be teasing the release date of Fallout: London, which has been delayed several times now. They believed that the ‘5’ in the picture was a reference to a countdown timer.
However, other Reddit users commented that the ‘5’ referred to the five-minute slow mode on the discord server. While a few others felt that the PR team was trolling the fans.
“Would fit with the PR team. They love manufacturing hype that gets them in hot water,” a Reddit user commented.
Another “Cryptic” image posted on Fallout: London Patreon
And now, another similar cryptic image has popped up on the Patreon page. This time, there is another character near the vault with his hands gesturing a ‘two.’ As the first cryptic message was posted 3 days ago, it is likely that the images are a countdown.
Once again, Reddit users are debating whether the devs are dropping hints about a release date. A lot of people commented that the new image means that the release might be two days away.
“Tomorrow we will get a vault boy with his thumb up, meaning it’s ready to go, there’s no way they are releasing it on a Friday,” one Reddit user commented.
Some people commented that the devs might make an official announcement about the Fallout: London release date in two days.
As of now, there have been several delays in Fallout: London mod release. If these images are a reference to a release date or an official announcement about it, we should be seeing another cryptic image tomorrow. Or we could get an important update about the mod in two days.
Stay tuned for more updates.
