Galaxy S26 leak just ahead of Unpacked suggests Samsung is bringing back a popular pre order bonus

At the time of writing this, we’re just over 24 hours away from Samsung’s latest Galaxy Unpacked event. The February 25 show this year is expected to set the stage for brand-new Galaxy S26 series smartphones, Galaxy Buds4 earbuds, and more. Some early pre-order details were made obvious last week as Samsung started its reserve/registration offers, and now, a new leak suggests one particularly popular pre-order bonus will be available in mainland Europe – France at the very least.
Samsung has previously run “double the storage on us” offers before, notably with the Galaxy S25 Edge last year. This time, rumors point towards the Edge model being ditched, with the 2x storage promotion now applicable to the main S26 cast. A well-known leaker suggests that anyone who pre-orders a 512GB model will get it for the usual 256GB price tag.
512GB for the price of 256GB in the UK, France, and maybe elsewhere
Samsung has already made this double storage promotion official on its early UK registration, though it is not widely advertised on other regions’ respective offer pages. This includes France and the US, but according to reliable leaker billbil-kun, it will be available in the former. We’ll have to wait and see if US customers can enjoy the same. The leak also details an additional €200 discount on the flagship 1TB S26 Ultra model when you pre-order.

The “Discount price” above also takes into account possible savings from trade-in bonuses, which are said to be €100 for the S26 and S26+, and €150 for the S26 Ultra. We assume this is on top of any money you get for trading in your older device; Samsung’s trade-in program for Galaxy tech covers smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.
With this special pre-order bonus, it’s fair to say that purchasing any 256GB model ahead of time is pointless. If you’re the market for a brand-new Samsung smartphone, it only makes sense to shop for at least 512GB as soon as pre-orders go live. We expect them to be available as soon as the new series is announced at Galaxy Unpacked on the 25th.
Late last week, someone managed to get a hold of the S26 Ultra early, unbox it, and test out the new privacy screen feature.
