Samsung hosted its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 event today, where it introduced several new devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The company’s latest foldable is aimed at users who want a larger display for reading, watching videos, gaming, and multitasking, while still offering the convenience of a phone that folds down into a more compact form.

Alongside unveiling the device, Samsung also confirmed its official pricing and opened pre-orders immediately after the announcement. Customers can reserve the new foldable starting today, while the phone is scheduled to launch on August 7.

Where to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 starts at $1,899 in the United States for the 256GB storage model. Samsung is also offering a 12GB + 512GB version for $2,099, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB model is priced at $2,499. In Europe, the three variants cost €1,999, €2,199, and €2,599, respectively. And while the 256GB and 512GB are available on Amazon, the 16GB + 1TB model is exclusively available through Samsung’s store right now.

Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which serves as the successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, the standard Fold 8 introduces a different design philosophy. Samsung has opted for a wider form factor, giving the device a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The wider screen is designed to provide a more natural experience when watching movies, browsing websites, reading books, or playing games. When folded, the cover display offers a familiar smartphone experience for everyday tasks.

Samsung says the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is its lightest Fold model to date, weighing just 201 grams. Despite the lighter design, it still packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset alongside a 4,800mAh battery, aiming to deliver strong performance and enough battery life for extended use.

The company has also introduced its new Flex Titanium display structure, which combines a titanium-alloy film with an upgraded titanium plate. According to Samsung, this new design helps improve durability, reduces the visibility of the display crease over time, and makes opening and closing the phone feel smoother and more natural. The main display can also reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness and includes Vision Booster technology to improve visibility outdoors.

That said, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available in Graphite, Cream, and Lavender, with an additional Pistachio color exclusive to Samsung’s online store. With pre-orders now live and the official launch set for August 7, Samsung’s newest foldable is now available for customers looking to secure one before release. Several pre-order bonuses are also available.
