Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 during its Made by Google event on August 12, where it is also expected to announce the Pixel 11 smartphone lineup. While the company has not officially shared any details about its next smartwatch yet, a new leak appears to have revealed its pricing, color options, key upgrades, and release date ahead of the announcement.

The information comes from Billbil-kun, a leaker with a strong track record on this kind of hardware. According to the leak, the Pixel Watch 5 will keep much of the same design as its predecessor while introducing a few notable improvements.

Earlier release date than usual – what’s new in the Google Pixel Watch 5?

According to Billbil-kun, the Pixel Watch 5 will be released on August 20, 2026. This is just over a week after the Made by Google event – a much quicker turnaround than last year’s model, which didn’t become available to purchase until October. The new-gen smartwatch is expected to launch alongside the Pixel 11 smartphones.

One of the biggest spec upgrades is storage. The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to double the available storage from 32GB to 64GB, giving users more room for apps, offline music, and other data. The smartwatch is also said to feature slightly larger batteries than the Pixel Watch 4. The 41mm model will reportedly include a 332mAh battery, while the 45mm version will use a 465mAh battery. 

Despite the increase in battery capacity, Google’s advertised battery life is expected to remain the same, offering up to 30 or 40 hours with the always-on display enabled, or up to 48 and 72 hours in battery saver mode, depending on the model.

As for colors, the 45mm Pixel Watch 5 is reportedly coming in Matte Black with a Volcanic Black band, Polished Silver with a Mist band, and Satin Pyrite with an Olive band. The 41mm version will offer those same three finishes, along with an exclusive Champagne Gold case paired with a Peach Pink band.

The 41mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi model is expected to cost €419, while the 41mm LTE version could launch at €519. The 45mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi model is reportedly priced at €449, with the 45mm LTE variant expected to cost €549. Interestingly, only the 41mm models are expected to receive a €20 price increase compared to the previous generation, while the larger 45mm versions are said to keep the same launch price.
