Rockstar Games finally put all the speculation to rest by officially confirming that GTA 6 pre-orders will open on June 25, 2026. There isn’t long to wait to secure your copy of the most anticipated game ever. Rockstar has more recently confirmed official pricing for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, too, with two different versions available, starting at $79.99.
Something that does come as a surprise (and may face some backlash) is the fact that some single-player content is locked behind a paywall. GTA 6 launches with day-one DLC reserved for the $99.99 Ultimate Edition, such as exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel, and “action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story”.
GTA 6 pre order start time
In an announcement earlier today, Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA 6 pre-orders will be available on June 25, at midnight local time. This means you don’t need to worry about any timezone conversions. Just stay up until midnight and reserve your copy for either Xbox or PlayStation. There’s no official word on a PC port just yet.

Countdown clock for Pacific Time
Since there’s no single worldwide launch time, the countdown clock below is ticking down until midnight, Pacific Time. At the time of writing, some regions already have pre-orders available to them. Keep in mind that the clock below will disappear once it expires.
Interestingly, the pre-order announcement was not accompanied by GTA 6 trailer 3, which many fans were expecting. Instead, Rockstar Games simply published its cover art reveal video (above).
