Finally, the wait is over as last week AMD launched the highly-anticipated Ryzen 7 9800X3D. In the lead-up to the release, much has been made of the 9800X3D’s supremacy over rival Intel’s latest Core Ultra 285K CPU, and the good publicity seems to be paying dividends.

Thankfully we’ve found a way for disappointed fans of Team Red to get hold of the new X3D especially if you’re in the market for some other PC upgrades. Micro Center is offering a 3-in-1 bundle that includes the 9800X3D, an MSI X670E motherboard, and a G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5 memory kit for a serious system upgrade.
What does the Micro Center 9800X3D 3-in-1 bundle offer?
Let’s go through what this 3-in-1 bundle gets you.
CPU
Most importantly, we have the Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. The latest-gen CPU launched last week, and enjoying incredible demand. The X3D boasts 8 cores and 16 threads with a base frequency of 4.7 GHz, which can go up to 5.20 GHz. With the additional support for overclocking, you should be able to push it way beyond that.
We’ve been reporting that sales of AMD’s new CPU have been vastly outstripping Intel’s Core Ultra alternative, making the 9800X3D the new King of gaming CPUs.
Motherboard

How much will the Micro Center bundle save you?
Individually the three products would normally set you back $819.97, but thanks to Micro Centre’s limited-time bundle, you can save $89.98 – dropping the price to $729.99. Admittedly this is a bit of a leap in price from the advertised individual price of $479 for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. However, as we’ve said the high demand for the new CPU has left stocks low or non-existent at many online retailers, and we think the pairing of these three products by Micro Center makes a lot of sense for those who are looking for a full system upgrade, (or those simply too impatient to wait for other retailers to restock).
It is important to be aware that this is an in-store pickup-only promotion, you can reserve and pay online, but you will need to visit your local Micro Center branch to collect it.
