However, not everyone seems to be having a smooth experience, as some Lenovo Legion Go players are currently getting permanently banned from the game.

Legion Go players are getting permanently banned in Black Ops 6
A Legion Go player on Reddit made a post and claimed that they got permanently banned from playing Black Ops 6 while on the Legion Go during the past few days. They mentioned that they have a long-standing Xbox account, and they even tried to appeal the ban, which was denied in just 10 minutes. Activision didn’t get into too much detail, as they only mentioned that the ban was due to software or data manipulation.

In the same thread, plenty of other players replied and claimed that the same was happening to them. One of them mentioned that they had a 15-year-old account with 50 hours in Black Ops 6, and they got banned all of a sudden after playing on the Legion Go. They also tried appealing the ban, but it was rejected instantly. Another user claimed that they had never cheated in their entire life but still were permanently banned from Black Ops 6.

This isn’t the first time Call of Duty players using handheld devices have faced unfair bans. Last year, ROG Ally X users reported being shadow-banned in Modern Warfare 3 and Modern Warfare 2 under similar circumstances. The problem seems to be how these devices work with Call of Duty’s Team Ricochet anti-cheat system. Some people think the way the device handles game data might be causing it to get wrongly flagged as a problem.
What makes it worse is how appeals are being handled. Many players say their appeals are rejected almost right away, with no reason given or proper check. For those with years of progress on their accounts, it feels like an unfair punishment for something they didn’t do. At the moment, there isn’t anything official on these unfair bans. However, Activision and Team Ricochet need to investigate these reports and ensure their anti-cheat system doesn’t punish innocent players.
