Legion Go S gets a much-needed discount, as price drops below the original model

Table of Contents
The Lenovo Legion Go S was launched during CES 2025 with a starting price of $729.99. Many people expected this model to be called the “Lite” version because of its cut-down specs. And for the same reason, some fans weren't happy with its price tag. For a handheld device with less processing power, the price felt a little too high. But if you've been thinking about getting one and were just waiting for a good deal, now might be the right time to grab it.

Save $130 on the Lenovo Legion Go S right now
If you head over to Best Buy, you’ll find the Legion Go S 1TB model listed for only $599. That's a solid $130 discount from its original price. What makes this even more interesting is that the Legion Go S is now actually cheaper than the original Legion Go 1TB model. That version used to cost $749.99, but it's also on sale with a $100 discount, bringing it down to $649.
For those who want to save even more money, there's another option – open box models. These are devices that were previously opened or returned, but still work fine and are tested before being sold again. Best Buy currently offers three open box categories for the Legion Go S: Fair, Good, and Excellent. The prices for these models are $505.99, $480.99, and $450.99, respectively, depending on the condition. Even the most expensive open-box option is still well below the original price.
In any case, at the current price, the Lenovo Legion Go S is worth picking up. For those who don’t know, it offers an 8-inch LCD screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Powering the device is the Ryzen Z2 Go processor, and there’s also 32GB of RAM for smooth performance. Lenovo will also release a SteamOS model in May 2025, which is expected to cost $499.99.
