When a new graphics card is released, very few people are going to take the trouble to scour every available review to find the verdict. However, one outlet has gone to the effort of compiling every available review of the RTX 5060 Ti to provide a comprehensive overview of the benchmark results.

Most people are content with checking out two or three reviews from outlets they trust to decide if a product is worth buying. 3D Center went more than a few steps further and has obtained benchmarking scores from almost every available review of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti to properly map out a performance analysis and see if the RTX 5060 Ti is worth the price.

How does the 5060 Ti compare to last gen?

The extensive research was originally published on the 3D Center website, but it was also translated into English and posted on Reddit for a wider audience. The post notes that only in-game benchmarks are used, with synthetic benchmarks such as 3D Mark excluded. The analysis also only takes into account pure raster performance, without ray-tracing or frame generation technologies such as DLSS.

When examined, these comprehensive figures show that the RTX 5060 Ti is on average 14 to 17% faster than the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB model when used at 1080p or 1440p.

3D Center did note that the 8GB model had very few reviews available, since Nvidia was reluctant to provide those models for review testing. As such, the figures for the 8GB version do not provide the full picture. Testing revealed that there are considerable disadvantages to the 8GB model, including poorer image quality, delays in texture loading, and frame rate stutter.

The conclusion that the 3D Center came to was that only the AMD Radeon 7800 XT was a possible opponent to the RTX 5060 Ti, but the higher cost was a sticking point. The judgment on the 8GB model was much more stark: “The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is therefore already borderline even under 1080p and can therefore not be recommended with a clear conscience for a GPU purchase in 2025.” We’re keen to see how well the RTX 5060 holds up, now that we know it also features 8 GB.
