Modular Lego-style keyboard is teased ahead of Kickstarter launch

Mechanical keyboards and Lego. Not the most obvious combination, but KBDcraft hopes it will be a successful one as it shows off some teaser images of its modular TKL keyboard design before the official launch of the Kickstarter campaign. Though mechanical keyboards are generally considered the best for many PC users, that quality comes at a price. KBDcraft specialises in providing affordable mechanical keyboards that feature a unique Lego-like style.
Like many of its other models, the new keyboard is named with a Biblical theme as it is dubbed Sachiel, following on from the previous Adam, Israfel, and Lilith keyboards. I am beginning to suspect there are some Neon Genesis Evangelion fans in this company.
KBDcraft unveils Sachiel keyboard
Little has been revealed about the specifications so far, but the keyboard uses a TKL or Tenkeyless layout and uses the same Lego-inspired design as its predecessors. The teaser posted on the official Twitter/X account also showed a modular design that allowed for customisation. For example, the six navigation keys on the right side can instead be swapped with four rotary encoders.
Though it has not been confirmed, it is likely that the Sachiel will use the same QMK firmware as previous versions, and will also support VIAL, a graphical keyboard customisation application that runs through a web browser. This will enable users to set keybinds and program macros. It is also probably that Sachiel will use a similar gasket mount to previous models for a more comfortable typing experience.
The Sachiel is planned to launch on Kickstarter in April. Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but previous models, the Lilith and Adam, were priced at $89.99 and $79.99, respectively. The Sachiel is likely to be slightly more expensive to account for the customisable module, which will probably put it somewhere in the $100-130 bracket.
