New Intel CPUs, including Core Ultra 9 290K Plus, appear at retailer with list of specs, way before they’ve been announced
Indian retailer PrimeAGBG has listed two new Intel CPU models on its website, namely the Core Ultra 9 290K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus. Both are Arrow Lake refresh models – in other words, more powerful versions of the existing Core Ultra 9 285K and Core Ultra 7 265K processors. The retailer claims that the new refreshed 290K Plus “will be replacing” the existing 285K.
It’s safe to say that Intel’s current generation of desktop CPUs hasn’t gone down amazingly well with the PC building crowd. Recent CPU sales numbers on Amazon U.S. reveal AMD’s popular Ryzen 7 9800X3D generated more than 8x the revenue of Intel’s best CPU, the aforementioned 285K.

Intel is yet to announce either of these upcoming chips, though an Arrow Lake refresh has been rumored for some time. The specs listed at PrimeAGBG line up well with previous information regarding specs floating around the web. It’s still too earlier to confirm whether they are 100% accurate, but they provided us with a solid guideline nonetheless.

Interestingly, both models are listed as “In Stock”. However, since there’s no price tag, and a lack of precise product codes or other retail indicators, it’s safer to assume that they are still within the pre-launch phase. As for when Intel will actually announce these new processors, one of the safest bets is CES 2026 in early January. We already know that Team Blue is launching its new Panther Lake mobile chips (for laptops) in the new year – a leaked benchmark earlier this week gave us a glimpse of the performance of the flagship Intel Core Ultra X9 388H.
