For a while now, there have been speculations about Intel’s next generation of CPUs, the Arrow Lake series. While Intel hasn’t officially confirmed anything about the next-gen processors, there have been reports of Core Ultra 5, 7, and 9 CPUs.

However, a new leak seems to suggest that there might be another processor in this lineup – the Core Ultra 3, which hasn’t been mentioned previously.

Intel might be planning for two new Core Ultra 3 processors

As per OneRaichu’s post on X (Twitter), Intel’s Arrow Lake lineup will have a Core Ultra 3 lineup. Further, this Core Ultra 3 tier will have two processors – Ultra 3 205 and Ultra 3 215. OneRaichu also mentioned that these processors will have 8 cores, but the post does not say what the exact combination of Performance and Efficiency cores they will have.

Considering that the higher-end processors will feature Lion Cove and Skymont, it is likely that these Core Ultra 3 CPUs will also have the same microarchitecture. Plus, the same post also seems to suggest that these Ultra 3 processors will be more powerful than i3-14XXX CPUs.

It should be noted that these details have not been confirmed by Intel. The exact specifications will be revealed when the launch of the processors is near. So far, it has been said that the 15th gen CPUs will be released shortly after the Core Ultra 200V CPUs. However, given the recent financial situation, Intel might delay the 15th-gen launch a bit.

In case you missed it, Intel has been facing backlash over the instability issues in their 13th and 14th gen CPUs for a while now. To resolve this issue, the company has made several efforts, including BIOS fixes, microcodes, and even extended warranty on affected CPUs.

Even in the midst of the chaos, Intel has plans to launch the Core Ultra 200V series processors, which are supposed to power thin and light laptops. The processors will be introduced at an exclusive event in Berlin, Germany, after the IFA 2024, which will take place on September 3rd at 6 p.m. CEST.
