Customers interested in buying one of Nvidia's new RTX 50 series of graphics cards have been faced with several problems. Supply issues have pushed prices up far beyond the MSRP, causing great frustration. However, some relief may be at hand for the latest RTX 50 series launch, according to the latest rumor.
Board Channels is a forum used by Nvidia's manufacturing partners, such as MSI, Gigabyte, and ASUS. As such, it is often a useful source of information on the latest developments in the PC hardware world. A post on Board Channels stated that Nvidia has set the prices for the RTX 5060 Ti, and these prices are lower than expected.
- GPU: AD106
- CUDA cores: 4,352
- VRAM: 8GB GDDR6
- Bandwidth: 288.0 GB/s
- Memory bus width: 128-bit
- Base clock speed: 2310 MHz
- Boost clock speed: 2550 MHz
5060 Ti might be cheaper than the 4060 Ti
If the leak reported by VideoCardz is accurate, then the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB will have an MSRP of $429, with the 8GB model being priced at $379. This is a $70 drop from the 16GB model compared to the equivalent RTX 4060 Ti SKU. The drop for the 8GB model is only $20, however.
Most analysts believe the RTX 5060 Ti will be officially announced next week. Nvidia has yet to confirm this, however. Nor has there been any discussion of potential prices. We should stress that until Nvidia reveals official information, these rumors must be taken with a grain of salt.
Unless Nvidia has resolved its supply issues, it is possible that these models will not be available at retailers for the MSRP and will instead see a considerable markup. For customers in the USA, the trade tariffs make the situation more complicated, which leaves the pricing situation up in the air.
Customers in the USA have already seen large jumps in the price of high-end PC components like the RTX 5090 graphics card. Nintendo has also closed pre-orders of the Nintendo Switch 2 until the effect of tariffs is fully understood.
