Table of Contents
Black Friday deals are kicking off right now, and it looks like one of the best times of the year to grab an RTX 50-series card for less. Right now at Newegg, this Gigabyte WindForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is down to its lowest price in 30 days, thanks to a small but meaningful 7% Black Friday discount and a further $10 off promo, reducing from $464.49 to $419.99 at checkout.
This graphics card is a great shout if you’re looking for something with punchy performance at 1080p and 1440p, but with enough VRAM to handle more complex and demanding creative workflows, especially if you’re using AI. At this price, it’s not too much more expensive than the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB’s MSRP, so this deal could be just what you needed to go for the higher performance option out of the two, but without breaking the bank.

Key features of this Gigabyte WindForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB graphics card
Advanced cooling
This card features Gigabyte’s WindForce cooling system to keep it working at its best, even when under heavy and sustained loads. The fans are ‘Hawk Fans’, which are unique in the way that their design reduces air resistance and increases air pressure and volume. At the same time, they’re also designed to reduce noise levels, allowing for much quieter operation. These fans can also spin in opposite directions to each other, which is good for reducing turbulence and increasing airflow. On top of this, there’s a 3D active fan, which provides semi-passive cooling and can allow the main fans to remain off under lighter usage. You’ve also got your host of various composite heatpipes, copper plates, thermal conductive gel, and more to help whisk away heat from the GPU, keeping it working at its best.
Nvidia Blackwell Architecture and 16GB of VRAM
This card is built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell Architecture, which has a wide range of improvements that make it a far superior choice to the last generation. CUDA, ray tracing, and tensor cores have all been improved for better performance across the board, whether that be with gaming, creative workloads, or AI tasks. You’ve also got new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, which is faster and has higher bandwidth than GDDR6, allowing for much better data transfer. That means faster video editing and less lag with creative applications, as well as smoother gaming sessions.
Performance
We’ve tested and reviewed an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB here at PC Guide, so we can give you an idea of what to expect in terms of performance. In Cyberpunk 2077, it got 123fps at 1080p and 52fps with ray tracing. At 1440p, it hit 78fps and 32fps with ray tracing enabled, which is also not bad considering we weren’t using DLSS. To give you an idea of how DLSS can enhance performance further, F1 24 jumped from 69fps to 102fps at 1440p when DLSS was enabled. A substantial uplift, which goes to show how this card is quite adept at more than just 1080p gaming.

Who is this graphics card for?
This is one of the best graphics cards to go for if you’re sticking to a budget, but want a decent amount of VRAM, something good for high fps gaming, and usable for demanding creative workloads. It’s a versatile pick that doesn’t break the bank, especially at this new lower price, and we think this specific card is well worth it thanks to its excellent build quality and cooling solutions. In terms of alternatives, we’d say if you want something a bit more powerful for 1440p gaming, then the RTX 5070 12GB is your best bet, but you’re making a trade-off when it comes to VRAM, which may get in the way of complex creative tasks and other VRAM-intensive activities.
