Newegg still has Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes for $20, as long as you already have an account

Microsoft sent waves of frustration among Xbox Game Pass subscribers after the company announced a price hike, which has taken the price of the Ultimate plan (the only way to get day-one releases) from $20 to $30. This was sudden, seemingly unnecessary, and fans are not happy with the move. However, some retailers are still offering the Ultimate plan codes at the same price as before, and one of them is Newegg – as long as you’re an existing account holder in the U.S.
Instead of buying the subscription directly from Microsoft, users can also buy codes from third-party retailers like Newegg, which is currently offering the Xbox 1 Month Game Pass Ultimate code for only $19.99. The best part is that users can stack up to 36 months of subscription using these codes, so you can buy a bunch of them in one go. They are also offering codes for the 3 Month plan for $59.99.

How long will $20 codes be available to buy?
However, it is important to keep in mind that Newegg may only be able to sell these codes at $20 because they still have some old stock left, and the fact that these codes are for existing account holders only. The price hike reportedly took effect for new subscribers on October 1, while existing subscribers won’t feel the rise until November 4, so make sure to grab some codes quickly – stock might be gone in a few days.

Amazon was also selling 1 Month Ultimate codes for $20, but the demand was so high that they quickly went out of stock. GameStop, was one of the first retailers to advertise the codes at the old price, and they still have some stock left. So, if you’re unable to get a code through Newegg, you can try your luck at Gamestop.
It should only be a matter of time until all retailers start selling the codes at $30, and you won’t be able to get them at the old rate anymore. If you’re not planning to leave the service anytime soon, then it would be wise to stack up the codes and build up your subscription.
