Last week, Noctua teased its new all-black case fan, shortly after explaining why these chromax.Black models take longer to produce. Now, the NF-A12x25 G2 chromax.Black 120mm fans are available to buy on Amazon, and fans may be happy to know that they cost the exact same as their brown and beige counterparts (the color scheme Noctua is best known for).

If you prefer the sleek, all-black look, then these air fans will be a welcome addition to your build. Noctua is known for producing some of the best premium air fans on the market, and it finally announced its plan to enter the AIO water cooler market at last year’s Computex, in collaboration with Asetek. The brand’s first AIOs are due to debut in Q2 this year.

Noctua launches latest all-black 120mm case fan

The NF-A12x25 G2 PWM chromax.Black has officially been launched and released. The second-generation (G2) 120mm fan keeps the same technical specs as the familiar brown and beige version, just with an all-black finish. The NF-A12x25 G2 PWM came with a 9 and a half minute video explainer, which really hammered home how much attention to detail Noctua offers.

This second-gen fan offers a new impeller & tubulator hub shape for more efficient airflow, alongside winglets on blade tips for smooth and more precise airflow. It also comes with an improved motor, performance gains, and more. Since the new version is just a color swap, the following specs are shared between the chromax.Black and brown-and-beige versions.

• Dimensions: 4.72″L x 4.72″W x 0.98″H
• Fan Size: 120x25mm
• Power Connector Type: 4-Pin
• Voltage: 12 Volts
• Wattage: 1.8 watts
• Cooling Method: Air
• Noise Level: 22.5 dB
• Material: Sterrox LCP
