We’ve been given another official look at GTA 6 gameplay, but it comes from an unusual source. Long-running adult animated series South Park is no stranger to controversy, but Rockstar’s lawyers are probably enough to deter its creators from actually leaking GTA 6 gameplay. Instead, official gameplay footage was shown in the show’s latest episode, with a special thanks to Rockstar Games in the credits.

There have been enough leaks as it is, including 25 minutes of footage earlier this month, but yesterday’s episode gave us another mechanic to look forward to (maybe?) It details a gameplay mechanic that allows players to “pick up the dog poop,” as South Park’s script says. Essentially, dogs in GTA 6 will literally take a dump, and you can interact with it to use as a weapon.

An unorthodox weapon to add to your arsenal in GTA 6

South Park has been running since 1997, and it’s now up to Season 29, with the latest season humorously rebranded “South America” in response to Trump-related naming controversies. In any case, Season 29, Episode 4, “Guinea Pig on a Stick,” was released yesterday (October 28), and towards the end of the episode, we got a glimpse of GTA 6 dog poop footage on the beach.

We’ve already seen Rockstar show off some beachside scenes, but nothing of this nature so far. We doubt anybody could have seen it coming, really. In the context of the episode, the clip serves as a punchline, as characters are gathered in a meeting room to view some supposedly classified footage. It essentially reveals a few small details about GTA 6, such as improvised combat and the lively open-world setting with reactionary NPCs.
