The annual Steam Summer Sale is well underway, and while it slashes games to under $10 or even under $5, there may be one game that flew under your radar: Tell Me Why. This single-player, story-driven experience is completely free on Steam for a limited time. It enjoys ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam overall, so there’s not much reason not to give it a go.

Tell Me Why is developed by DONTNOD Entertainment, one of the development studios behind the extremely popular Life is Strange series. While the first episode of Tell Me Why will remain free to play as usual, this deal means you can pick up the entire game for 100% off until July 1st.

Tell Me Why is free to keep on Steam until July 1

You can check out the Tell Me Why Steam store page if you want to learn more about the game. Released in 2020, it is described as “a multi-award winning episodic adventure game” centered around twins who “use their supernatural bond to discover the truth of their troubled past.” You can expect plenty of relationship building, exploration, and some puzzle solving along the way.

The 100% discount will be live until July 1st at 10 AM PDT (Pacific) / 1 PM EDT (Eastern) / 6 PM BST (UK), so be sure to check it out before time is up. System requirements reveal that it should be pretty easy to run on a wide range of machines, and it also runs on the Steam Deck, with a ‘Playable’ compatibility rating.

So, if you can’t bring yourself to spend another dime in the Steam Summer Sale, then pick up Tell Me Why before it’s too late! At full price, the game retails at $19.99, so don’t miss out if you’re a fan of narrative-driven titles.
