PC gaming enthusiasts in Japan have a unique opportunity to attend a special event organised by Nvidia. The event is intended to showcase new gaming laptops and will also feature special guests and a prize giveaway. Nvidia seems to be trying to repair its damaged reputation amongst PC gaming fans. The latest part of this is a newly announced ‘Gamer Day' which is due to take place on Saturday, April 5 in Tokyo.

The event will feature a showcase of new gaming laptops powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and a special presentation by Nvidia Technical Marketing Manager Riki Sawai. Likely to be of more interest to younger PC gamers is a special appearance from Japanese voice actor Honoko Kuroki, who is known for her roles in Fate/Grand Order and Idolmaster Shiny Colors.

Though the full list of participating board partners has not been specified, several PC manufacturers are expected to have an ‘Exhibitor Talk Session' to discuss their latest products. It is unknown which companies will participate, but the list is likely to include names like Dell, MSI, and ASUS ROG.

There’s a chance to win some high-ticket prizes

After the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a ‘lottery tournament'. A number of high-value prizes are said to be up for grabs, including Nvidia’s official products and goods signed by CEO Jensen Huang. The prizes have not been confirmed, but stock is apparently limited, so gifts will be presented on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nvidia says the session is “also recommended for those who are considering purchasing a new laptop or desktop. We will thoroughly explain how to choose a laptop and GPU.” The press release also describes the PC manufacturer exhibitor talk as “a must-see.”

Further details on the event, including a draft timetable, can be found on the official Japanese Nvidia Blog.
