After a month-long wait filled with stock issues and overpriced listings, Nvidia is finally taking action to fix RTX 50 Series GPU availability. This comes from the Nvidia forum, where a staff member announced the “Verified Priority Access” program for the GeForce RTX 50 Series. If the name sounds familiar, that's because the Green team first introduced this program with the RTX 4090. Much like last time, this will give a limited number of verified GeForce gamers and creators a chance to grab an RTX 50 Series GPU.

However, the first thing to note is that this program is only for the US market and is invite-only. Unlike last time, you’ll need to apply by filling out an online form instead of being pre-selected. Additionally, only those with an Nvidia account created before January 30, 2025, are eligible. On top of that, the site will use an algorithm to verify if you're a real gamer by analyzing your Nvidia app and GeForce Experience usage before offering a card. And as expected, there's a limit of one GPU per person.

Only for RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 FE cards

At the moment, Priority Access is only for RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Founders Edition GPUs, with no mention of the RTX 5070 Ti, which launches today but will allegedly have very limited availability. However, it’s worth noting that this program is only for NVIDIA Founders Edition cards, and we already know that Nvidia hasn’t made an RTX 5070 Ti FE.

NVIDIA RTX 50 Verified Priority Access:

  • Only RTX 5090/5080 Founders Edition
  • Only for people with NVIDIA account active before January 30, 2025
  • Only for United States customers
  • Must use this form

That said, things were expected to improve with the RTX 5070, or at least that's what we initially thought, but reports are now indicating that the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 will be delayed to mid-March and April due to performance issues. So it seems like getting an RTX 50 Series GPU, whether it’s a high-end or budget model, is becoming even more of a challenge.
