Nvidia’s growth in the past couple of years has been astronomic. It has successfully navigated the AI craze and is one of the driving forces behind it. While we tend to focus on the consumer hardware side of the company here, it’s hard to ignore the moves Nvidia is making (or rather, has made) in the AI and accelerated computing industries.

At the head of all of that is its long-time CEO Jensen Huang, described in a recent blog post as a “Tech Leader, AI Visionary, Endlessly Curious” individual with “an unwavering vision” for the company. With all this success, Huang was briefly the third-highest net worth gainer this year, just behind Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, though he has since fallen to fourth place behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. This comes just ahead of another important launch for Nvidia: the RTX 50 series.

Jensen Huang is currently the fourth-highest net worth gainer this year, Elon Musk remains well on top

As we can see from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily ranking of the world’s richest people, Jensen Huang has had a lot to celebrate this year. Although ranked number 13 in total net worth, he currently (as of December 16th) claims the number four spot in terms of highest net worth gains over this year. A recent report shows that he was briefly in the top 3, but has since been knocked off the podium by Bezos. As you can see from the stats, Elon Musk is comfortably ahead of the pack.

In any case, news of gains in Huang’s personal wealth hardly comes as a surprise when you take into account Nvidia’s growth lately – it is the third-biggest company (by market cap) behind Apple and Microsoft at the moment.

Nvidia’s CES 2025 keynote is on January 6th, RTX 50 series launch expected

It has been nearly a month since Nvidia revealed the date & time its CES 2025 keynote will take place. In case you missed it, Jensen Huang will take to the stage (no doubt in his trademark leather jacket) and is expected to announce the launch of the RTX 50 series. In typical fashion, Team Green hasn’t discussed what exactly they’ve been announcing – but everything we know so far points towards the new consumer GPUs.

However, the exhibit will be home to much more than that – “the keynote is just the beginning” says Nvidia. We’ll also get to see “hands-on demos showcasing innovations in AI, robotics and accelerated computing across NVIDIA's automotive, consumer, enterprise, Omniverse and robotics portfolios.” And while you wait, you can check out Nvidia’s GeForce Greats and GeForce LAN 50 events.
