EE isn’t the place we expected to find the RTX 50 series
The surprising part here is that EE isn't the first gaming store that comes to mind when you think of the RTX 50 series, especially since EE is primarily a mobile network provider in the UK. However, this move comes as EE looks to expand its PC gaming offerings in 2025, as part of its ongoing ambition to become the UK's number-one destination for gaming. Sam Kemp, Director of Gaming and Consumer Electronics at EE, states that:
“We're excited to be stocking the all-new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series on the EE Game Store as part of our approach to bring game-changing technology to gamers and creators of all kinds. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series boasts an array of cutting-edge features, so it's great to be working with NVIDIA to helping customers elevate their setups – one of the many approaches we're taking as part of our focus to become the UK's number one destination for gaming.”

Demand for RTX 5090 and 5080 is pretty high
Over the past week, we’ve seen numerous reports of an “extremely limited supply” at launch for both the RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards, suggesting that securing a unit on launch day (January 30, 2025) or even in the weeks following will be challenging. To add to the mix, the green team themselves have warned users of “stock-outs” for the RTX 50 series, citing “significant demand,” and they are doing their best to regularly ship stock to meet the demand. Concerns about limited RTX 5090 and 5080 availability have also been confirmed by one of the UK's biggest retailers, Scan, with a representative stating that “within five minutes, all GPUs will be sold out online.”
If you don't want to end up paying scalper prices or missing out on the RTX 5090, we recommend securing one as quickly as possible before “stock-outs” occur. One way to do this is through the EE Game Store, as we previously discussed, but that's not the only option for UK consumers. Scan is also hosting the UK's only official Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series launch event, where dedicated stock will be available exclusively for in-store attendees.
