NVIDIA fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the RTX 50-series GPUs. Out of the four GPUs in the lineup, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are currently scheduled to launch on January 30th. With only a few days left until the official launch, gaming enthusiasts can’t wait to get their hands on these cards and – with some people already camping out to get theirs at Micro Center in the US. Even UK retailers are predicting RTX 50 Series stock will sell out within minutes of going live.

There have been reports that you may have to wait weeks for a 5090 or 5080 due to “extremely limited supply“. Fortunately, Scan is offering gamers a chance to snag one on launch day, along with exclusive perks and prizes. Starting at 2 PM on January 30th, Scan Computers in Bolton is hosting a launch event in partnership with ASUS ROG. Pre-orders for specific RTX 5080 and 5090 models will also be available. You’ll need to arrive early, as dedicated stock will be available in-store exclusively for attendees.

There’s more than just graphics cards

In addition to being among the first to experience NVIDIA’s next-generation GPUs, Scan is offering extra incentives for early arrivals. The first 100 people in the queue will receive a limited-edition launch hoodie and other exclusive merchandise. Plus, Scan also revealed to us that a pizza truck will be on-site “to feed the masses” – so attendees can look forward to pizza, drinks, competitions, giveaways, and more throughout the day.

One important detail to note is that only RTX 5090 and 5080 partner cards will be available at the event – Founder Edition GPUs will not be featured, according to Scan. That said, the RTX 50-series has generated significant excitement. A recent community poll showed that over 35% of enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating NVIDIA’s next-gen GPUs, while AMD’s RX 9000 series garnered just 16% interest as AMD has faced backlash for potentially delaying the RX 9000 series launch.

With just days left until the RTX 50 series GPUs officially debut and this Scan launch event has now been announced, we recommend arriving early if you want to secure a spot in the first 100 and enjoy everything this event has to offer, from the new GPUs to exclusive merch and more.
