RTX 5060 gets a more specific release date thanks to new leak

Table of Contents
Since the launch of the RTX 5060 Ti, many PC users and analysts have been wondering when the RTX 5060 non-Ti will be released. Officially, we know that the card will be available in May, but which date exactly? Now, thanks to a new leak, we might have the answer to that question.
Nvidia GeForce graphics cards with the 60 suffix are often popular amongst PC gaming fans, as these cards can offer the latest Nvidia features, such as DLSS 4 in this case, but still offer a relatively reasonable price. With the cost of graphics cards soaring, this entry-level model has become even more appealing.
RTX 5060 launch details leaked
According to Videocardz, Nvidia has confirmed that the RTX 5060 will launch on May 19. The outlet claims that Nvidia board partners are reaching out to known reviewers to ask if they are interested in review units. We should clarify, however, that these details don’t come directly from Nvidia, so it’s still worth taking them with a pinch of salt.
Despite these early reports, a review embargo does seem to be in place, and will be listed on launch day. This means that customers who wish to try and beat the rush and purchase on launch day will need to do so without independent review information. These customers will have to rely on official Nvidia benchmarks.
Though there are unconfirmed rumors of an RTX 5050 using GDDR6 memory, so far, there has been little substance to these rumors. This leaves the RTX 5060 as the entry-level part of Nvidia's current product stack.

The RTX 5060 is said to be priced at $299, the same price the RTX 4060 was at launch. Nvidia might be facing immediate competition, as leaks suggest that AMD is on the verge of launching the Radeon RX 9060 XT. Both these cards are expected to launch to coincide with Computex, which starts in Taipei, Taiwan, from May 20.
