For many PC builders, the main thing putting them off upgrading their gaming rig is the high price of new graphics cards. Some customers might be able to grab a bargain as one popular online UK retailer has dropped the RTX 5060 Ti down to below MSRP. If you want one, you might have to accept a certain compromise, though.
Even though Nvidia cards that have the -60 suffix tend to be popular amongst PC users thanks to their lower price, the 8GB version of the RTX 5060 Ti has suffered in popularity compared to the 16GB model. It seems that retailers might be struggling to shift stock of these less popular 8GB versions, since prices are starting to drop only a short time after release.

Despite reviewers generally heaping scorn on the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, with one reviewer branding it as ‘instantly obsolete', the 8GB card could still be an upgrade for those on older GPU hardware, such as the GTX 10 or 16 series cards, or for those looking for to create a budget build.
This follows news that the RTX 5070 has seen price drops across Europe, with retailers in Germany, France, and the UK lowering the RTX 5070 price below MSRP.
Unfortunately, looming trade tariff prices mean that there has been little sign of such price drops in the USA, leaving many customers frustrated as high-end cards like the RTX 5090 continue to soar in price.
