RTX 5060 Ti outperforms the RTX 4070 at 4K in this new leaked benchmark, 1080p also tested

If current speculation is anything to go by, we’re getting incredibly close to the RTX 5060 & 5060 Ti release date. We’ve already seen retailer listings for gaming PCs and laptops featuring the new mid-range family of graphics cards, though a couple of these have since been removed. And now, benchmarks are starting to surface online.
We should point out that Nvidia has yet to announce the 5060 series in any official capacity, but it is more than likely up next, following the release of the RTX 5070 last month. Early FurMark benchmarks for what appears to be the RTX 5060 Ti are now available. Although not mentioned by name, the performance seems to line up.
RTX 5060 Ti reportedly benchmarked in FurMark graphics test
One of the first leaks of RTX 5060 Ti performance comes from Richard Huynh on X, who claims that an OpenGL 4K benchmark of the 5060 Ti shows the card scoring 4,411 with 73 FPS in FurMark’s regular donut test. The card is simply referred to as an ‘NVIDIA Graphics Device’ with the 10DE-2D04 device ID.
While this isn’t a 1:1 comparison (as the benchmark was performed on FurMark 1.29.0.0), looking at FurMark 2 2160p leaderboards would suggest that the 5060 Ti is just below the 3080 Ti, which scores 4,577. On the AMD side of things, this places the 5060 Ti just below the RX 7700 XT and RX 6800.
4K benchmark
Graphics card | Score (FurMark, 4K) |
---|---|
RTX 3080 Ti | 4,577 (76 FPS) |
RX 7700 XT | 4,565 (76 FPS) |
RX 6800 | 4,425 (73 FPS) |
RTX 5060 Ti (leak) | 4,411 (73 FPS) |
RTX 3080 | 4,136 (68 FPS) |
RTX 4070 | 4,088 (68 FPS) |
RTX 4060 Ti | 2,787 (46 FPS) |
1080p benchmark
Some further digging also reveals another test at 1080p with the same GPU device ID. Here, the 5060 Ti scores 10,242 at 1080p with an FPS of 170 in the OpenGL test; this is when paired with the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K. This benchmark is performed on the newer FurMark 2.6.0.0 version, so let’s see how it compares to the current FurMark 2 charts for 1080p.
Graphics card | Score (FurMark, 1080p) |
---|---|
RTX 4070 | 12,019 (200 FPS) |
RX 6800 | 11,934 (198 FPS) |
RX 7700 XT | 11,317 (188 FPS) |
RTX 5060 Ti (leaked) | 10,242 (170 FPS) |
RTX 4060 Ti | 10,071 (167 FPS) |
RTX 3080 Ti | 9,473 (157 FPS) |
RTX 3080 | 8,337 (138 FPS) |
It’s still early to judge the performance of the RTX 5060 Ti, and we’re keen to see how well it performs in gaming benchmarks rather than synthetic tests. Again, these leaks are nothing official, so be sure to take them with a grain of salt.
Based on the raster performance uplift of the 50 series line-up so far, there’s a chance that the 5060 Ti isn’t leaps ahead of its predecessor, with Nvidia focusing on the AI technology involved, especially DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. However, these early benchmarks suggest otherwise. We expect the 5060 Ti to be available in 8GB and 16GB variants, just like last gen.
