RTX 5070 drops even further below MSRP, following 5060 Ti launch
One of the major drawbacks of the graphics cards in the RTX 50 series range is the price. This might finally be changing as reports emerge of cards falling below MSRP in some regions. This comes not long after Nvidia announced the RTX 5060 series.
The RTX 50 series has been plagued by supply issues since launch. The unforgiving laws of supply and demand, therefore, forced prices to surge far above the MSRP as retailers and resellers competed over stock. This trend might be coming to an end, judging by price cuts at German retailers.
Last week, we saw the RTX 5070 drop below MSRP for the first time. And now, online tech blogger Raw Mango points out on Twitter/X that prices of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 are dipping even more. Retailer NotebooksBilliger or NBB had a Palit GeForce RTX 5070 Infinity 3 priced at €609. This price later fell further to €599 at NBB and another German retailer called Alternate.

The MSRP for the RTX 5070 in Germany is €619, so a twenty Euro discount might not seem like much, but it does go against the general tide of prices far above the MSRP, and may be an indication that the GPU market is beginning to settle. On the other hand, perhaps it is simply that the RTX 5070 is not as popular as other cards in the range. In the UK, popular retailer Overclockers UK also dropped the price of the RTX 5070 under MSRP to £519. The UK MSRP for the RTX 5070 is £539.
The situation remains bleak for American customers, however. Looming tariffs have made retailers nervous, and powerful flagship cards like the RTX 5090 have seen prices surge as retailers brace for price shocks. For now, at least, it seems that those in Europe will be able to score better deals on graphics cards than those on the other side of the Atlantic.
