Nvidia recently launched the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti, but both graphics cards were sold out quickly due to high demand and limited stock. This also happened with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5070. Because of this, both the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti are now being resold at much higher prices on platforms like eBay.

Scalpers are taking advantage of the shortage, making it hard for gamers and PC builders to get these GPUs at a fair price. However, according to some new information, you might be able to buy these cards soon at MSRP, at least in Spain.

MSI will soon release RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti cards at MSRP

According to the Spanish media outlet El Chapuzas Informatico, MSI will soon launch RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti GPUs at MSRP. MSI reportedly told the outlet that they will be launching the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti GPUs next Thursday (this could either mean March 20th or March 27th) while respecting the recommended price. On top of that, they also confirmed that they’ll be releasing more than 200 GPUs.

An important detail is that these GPUs will only be sold through MSI's official store. The company will be stocking several models from its GeForce RTX card lineup:

  • MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G Ventus 3X OC PLUS
  • MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G Ventus 3X OC
  • MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G Shadow 3X OC

If you’re wondering about the difference between these 5070 Tis, both models are very similar, but the Ventus version has four copper heat pipes, while the Shadow version has three. This means the Ventus model should offer slightly better cooling.

Again, it's important to note that this is only for Spain, and MSI has not yet confirmed if other countries (or wider Europe) will get a similar restock. However, if this strategy works well, we hope that MSI and other brands will follow the same approach in other regions.
