AMD just launched the remaining two of the four Zen 5 processors earlier this month. The much-awaited Ryzen 9000 series has four CPUs – Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X.
As many have already noticed, the new series does not yet feature any X3D CPU variants. In fact, earlier today, we reported that there’s a possibility of AMD launching some X3D variants for the new 9000 series along with a new motherboard platform.
However, as per a new leak, AMD does have plans for an X3D processor, but it might not be exactly what you thought.

Leaker hints towards Ryzen 5 7600X3D launching in early September
For a while now, there have been speculations that AMD might release AM4 X3D processors. However, aside from some leaks, there is no solid confirmation that this is indeed the case.
And now, Hoang Anh Phu, a credible AMD leaker, seems to suggest that we might see a new X3D processor soon. According to the latest post on X, the leaker believes that AMD will release the 7600X3D in September.
The post simply says, “7600X3D early Sep” as it can be seen in the picture above. As it says “early September,” it is safe to assume that this CPU might be released in the first two weeks of next month.
And that’s all the information that has been shared via this post. So far, there has been no confirmation from AMD. Technical specifications and prices are also not available at this point.
The only thing that can be derived from the name of the CPU is that it’s a Zen 4 model. Further, as it is an “X3D” processor, it will feature AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology, which is geared towards gaming.
As mentioned earlier, AMD released the next generation of desktop CPUs earlier this month. So far, the processors have gotten mixed reviews, and the sales have been underwhelming.
